Members : Ron Margetson & Jim Madlin

Ron & Jim are both regular folk club members, travelling from the Arnold area. They are so well regarded by other club members that they were recently asked to appear in their own feature night which was held on 11 July 2003. They sing under the name of 'The Last Shot' with Ron playing electric bass and Jim playing either accoustic or plug in guitar.

Ron's musical influences include Buck Owens, George Strait and The Hillsiders whilst Jim's musical influences include Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, as well as many other country & bluegrass artists.

Playing together for approximately the last 7 years, they have experience in playing traditional and modern country music. Previously, Ron played in rock bands whilst Jim played in folk and bluegrass bands.
