I was born in North Wales and came to Nottingham in 1968 to work at Cotgrave Colliery.

I have been a regular at Bingham Folk Club since I moved to Bingham in 1981.

As for music, my early influences were Buddy Holly, Elvis and Lonnie Donnegan.

For the most part, I sing country music and skiffle.

I like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Marty Robins, George Jones and Jim Reeves.
