I was born in Blackpool in Lancashire in 1948 and emigrated, firstly, to Canada when I was
aged 5 and then to American when I was aged 7, returning to England in 1968.

I was a professional dancer from 1967 - 1987 and from 1979 - 1987 was a member of the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden. I taught dancing for a few years and later trained as an osteopath.

I took up the banjo 2 years ago and am still trying to master it.

I have a passion for song writing, and have written a song for Ron & Jim, regulars at the folk club.

My wife was also a dancer but doesn't share my passion for the banjo.

I feel that my only handicap is my ability to play proficiently enough yet and also the need to overcome my fear of performing live. So there's only one way to go - I'll leave you to decide what that way is!
