Guests : Isambarde

On Friday 7th March we were pleased to welcome back Isambarde. This very talented trio of Chris, Emily and Jude were well rehearsed, worked well together and treated a good house to a well balanced selection of material. Emily seemed to be suffering a slight cough and sniffle but did not mention it - that I heard.

I certainly enjoyed the evening, as did my house guests for the weekend.

The only downside to the evening was that the instrumentals drowned out the vocals on many songs from about half way back, such that many people felt that they would benefit from some vocal amplification. I can understand any reluctance on their part to go down this road but as professional and very talented performers they owe it to themselves and their audience to be heard. However, despite this adverse comment I am sure they will return to Bingham Folk Club soon.
