Guest : Pete Morton

Pete Morton, a singer songwriter from Leicester, provided us with a splendid evening's entertainment with the largest audience the club has had for some time, his reputation obviously preceding him.

He sang mostly self penned songs of wide variety with well crafted lyrics; songs that were meaningful and to the point, and were mainly reflective commentaries on everyday people and situations. Particularly memorable to me was his anti war song "the two brothers" that I found very moving.

Many of his songs came with an easily learned chorus that the audience was able to join in with enthusiasm and a great night was had by all. A performer with great talent and personality and one whom I would recommend anyone to go and see.
