Guest : Steve Thomason

Steve Thomason is an un-assuming Leicestershire based singer/songwriter.
He has performed at the club previously, both as a singer on singers nights, and once before as a guest.

Members of the regular audience asked for a return visit, and we were particularly pleased to persuade him, as he does not often guest at folk clubs.

Steve has a lovely mellow voice and sings some beautiful songs, many of which he has penned himself. He has the ability to write the sort of songs that people could be forgiven for mistaking as traditional, as their content often describes past life-styles and working life.

This time of year we are usually down on numbers as holidays, gardening and other outside interests restrict peoples’ attendance, so the room was fairly quiet by our standards. Even so those that were there really enjoyed Steve’s performance and those not there missed a really great night.
