It is always diificult to judge performers if you perform yourself. You can be too sympathetic or too critical, but this is my opinion.

Bruce and Brian are competent musicians and sing well together, and also have a good line of patter between songs.

However, I thought they lacked a bit of professionalism when taking solo spots in the second half and appeared to lose the audience towards the end of the night. But they were entertaining.

This duo, who hail from Wolverhampton, were given a booking following a visit to the club on a singers night. Each plays guitar and mandolin, as well as bass. Also - very, very occasionally - even banjo.

On the night I don't know if they didn't have enough songs to fill the sets but we could well have missed out on their explicit bodily functions jokes. Verdict : Music fine - but please save your jokes for each other on your journey home.
