What a fabulous night. A guest with a repertoire as big as his personality. As many folk will know, Hughie used to be the junior member of 'The Spinners' and has entertained us at Bingham Folk Club before when it was held at the fire station, a cozy venue which Hughie liked.

His varied programme contained lots of maritime songs, traditional folk songs and included some Spinners songs, yarns, funny stories and updates of other Spinners members. The instrumentals were, as you may expect, first class and there were many opportunities for members to join in with either chorus songs or well known favorites.

It's two years since Hughie last visited and we look forward to his next visit.
