Gary & Vera Aspey

This was a Christmas cracker of an evening. Singing, dancing, jokes and funny stories, what more could an audience ask for ?

Vera's standard of musicianship was exceptional, as well as Gary's ability, as usual, to spin a yarn.

We were treated to lots of chorus songs, which club members love, as well as songs penned by the duo themselves.

Many new folk visited the club for the evening's entertainment and they were surely not disappointed.

Songs included "The Christmas Flasher", as well one which a regular folk club member 'Maurice' performs "They Don't Write 'Em Like That Anymore".

Although some members didn't immediately recognise Gary since his last visit to the club due to his hair going grey - his advancing years haven't dulled his sparky delivery.

Vera's concertina playing and Irish Dancing were also good examples of how these two relish performing and confirm, once again, why these two performers are favorites at the club.

Cracking Christmas entertainment !
